The Rufus story began years ago when a Kansas City man who’s love for true KC-style barbecue turned into a quest for the best. Slowly, he started to establish himself as a midwest BBQ master and graciously shared his smoked delicacies with those around him. As remarkable as his cooked meat was, it was his sauce that people kept longing for. Over the years his sauces won titles in the country’s best BBQ competitions and before he knew it, he was making sauce all the time. Rufus Teague was born from a BBQ legend, and now that legend lives on in these high quality sauces and rubs. Founder, John McCone, insists each product be made with the finest ingredients and be as healthy and delicious as each bottle can hold. What started as one thick, rich, honey-flavored sauce has now grown to include an entire line of Non-GMO, Gluten-Free and all natural barbecue sauces, steak sauces and dry rubs. Why? Because Rufus always knew, “Good sauce makes bad barbecue good and good barbecue gooder.”
